Labrador from Australia surprised the mistress with a small koala on her back!
Australia never ceases to amaze! More recently, a Labrador Retriever named Asha from a small Australian city surprised the owner with a very unusual surprise, which can hardly be expected from a dog in any other region of the world.
For starters, a small fact is that the temperature in this part of Australia drops to 5 degrees on a nap and early mornings. But not every animal living there can boast the same warm “fur coat” as Asha.
Kerry, the mistress of the Labrador, says:
“It was still very early, and my husband called me outside to look at something. At first I didn’t understand that this was how he was interested, but then suddenly I saw a small koala, pressed tightly against Asha’s back. ”
Kerry admits that she did not immediately support the dog's heroism:
“I burst out laughing to tears. Asha did not understand what was going on at all, and simply looked at me, lost and embarrassed. She looked a little guilty, and that expression of her face was priceless. ”
“She constantly turned to look at the koala on her back, but she didn’t try to take it off herself, letting the baby hug herself.”
How a koala appeared on Asha's back is a big mystery. Since the baby was still very small, most likely, he and his mother missed each other and lost each other.
"I think he fell out of his mother’s bag and didn’t know what to do next. Therefore, he accidentally wandered into our porch and saw our sleeping dogs. Then the baby probably decided to hug Asha tightly and bask in her warm coat."
“Asha saved his life by allowing her to climb onto her back. He would not have survived, left alone in the cold forest for the night. In addition to the cold, there is another danger waiting for him there - these are foxes and other predators. ”
Kerry says that it was not easy to separate the couple, the koala kid was very unhappy with the plan to remove him from his warm back and even hissed menacingly when he was transported to a warm blanket. But now he is doing well. He was examined by a veterinarian, and then he went to a new house, where he would stay until he was old enough to return to the wild.
“If we hadn’t done anything, then I think the koala would just have slept all day on Asha’s back. But it was a very interesting incident. This is certainly unlikely to be found anywhere other than Australia. ”
